• 10:00 a.m. We will meet at the ticket office of the Butterfly House.

• 12:00 p.m. Daily - butterfly release at the bottom of the first floor ramp for those who choose to remain/return. (This usually has lots of visitors).

• 12:30 p.m. Lunch reservations at the Old Mill Inn located in Fair Park

• 2:00 p.m. Daily - Critter Encounter (also for those who choose to remain): a docent will bring a live critter (changes daily), talk about the critter and visitors “may” get a chance to touch it. No guarantees on the touching!

TICKETS: Adults - $10.00 

Seniors (60+) - $8.00 Children 3-11 - $5.00 

ACCESS: Tickets allow entrance to the two-story butterfly house and the 7.5-acre gardens (https://txdg.org/gardens/ ). 

Re-entry is allowed the full 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. hours on the day of purchase. Reminder to keep your ticket just in case you lose the “sticker” received when entering. 

After lunch, for those who choose to stay longer, the grounds of Fair Park also offer lots of photo ops. 

PARKING: Enter Fair Park at Gate # 6 (the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. & Robert B. Cullum Blvd). Just inside the gate, turn right on Second Ave. Enter the parking lot on your right. There is not a parking charge on the day we are going. 

PHOTOGRAPHY GUIDELINES: 

Tripods are ok as long as they don’t impede other visitors. Monopods best. Photographs taken should be for personal use/not for sale. 

No models – that would put us into a “fee” situation.
