This time we are trying something a bit different than in the past. Since cacti generally bloom when temperatures are a bit warmer in the day, we’re going to “hope for the best” and plan the day as follows:
Cost: There is no cost to this event other than being a paid member of the Heard Nature Photographers. Reminder that our 2024 membership year renews on January 1 each year and are due no later than the last day of February.
SUGGESTED EQUIPMENT:
Tripod/monopod, bottled water. Macro lens if you have one.
Please bring a folding lawn chair and, if you have one, a “TV tray” to use as your work surface.
If you have a card table that you are willing to bring, please do so. These will make it easier for photographers to work rather than being side-by-side.
Agenda
10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Set up your worktable and take a few shots of Irwin’s collection, then move tables, etc., into Irwin’s garage while we go to lunch (or just meet us at Mattitos).
11:45 a.m. Lunch at Mattito’s - 7778 Forest Lane, Dallas, TX
1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Return to Irwin’s to photograph cacti blooms.
