Autumn at the Arboretum is a festival that begins September 24 and is highlighted with spectacular autumn displays.
9:30 am - Meet at the fountains outside the main entrance.
At 11:30 am we’ll meet for lunch at the Lula Mae Slaughter Dining Terrace (near the gift shop). The dining terrace offers a quick, convenient, “sandwich counter” experience for guests who want to grab something simple and enjoy it “al fresco” with a view of A Tasteful Place, White Rock Lake, and downtown Dallas in the distance. A reminder that we will be sharing the area with other Arboretum visitors.
What’s Happening
Blooming plants will include Crepe Myrtle, roses, marigolds, fall-blooming azaleas, candlestick tree, salvia and ornamental herbs.
The “Celebrate the Children” exhibit by acclaimed sculptor Gary Lee Price is in progress. It features beautiful, hand-crafted bronze sculptures of various children placed throughout the gardens and provide the perfect photo opportunity for guests. (now thru October 15, 2019)
